The holidays are just around the corner, so let the planning and prepping begin. We know, there’s so much to do, and it seems to start earlier every year, so let’s break it down to keep it things simple and stress-free.
1. Get your house party-ready.
Sure, there’s the tree, the mantel and all the festive holiday accents shining and shimmering in every corner. You have to admit, it looks pretty magical. But don’t forget all the party essentials—glasses for toasting, dishes for serving, boards for snacking. You’ll want to tie it all together with a common palette, and it doesn’t have to be classic red and green by any means. We happen to love metallics, no matter what you celebrate. The gleam of gold, silver and rich jewel tones look so very glam, especially against the glow of candlelight.
2. Pin some festive food and drinks
Of course, the centerpiece of any holiday party—other than the actual table centerpiece—is the food and drinks. That’s the fun part. Pin some festive cocktail ideas, small bites to gather a crowd or an unbelievable main dish. It’s all about impressing your guests, and they’ll always leave remembering what they ate and drank. We’re partial to bubbly drinks made with prosecco or champagne and natural mixers of muddled fruit or pressed juice. They just feel more festive, and you can’t get better than the gorgeous color of a fresh pomegranate.
3. Sparkle up your accessories
OK, now that the house is ready to party, it’s time to focus on getting glam. We, of course, love to build every holiday look around our accessories. Start with a statement necklace as an intriguing focal point, or layer on a few. We love the Mega Gold Layered Lariat from the new Rodéo collection for it’s instant layering effect and insane shine. Go for some killer diamond hoops, and don’t forget a major stack of rings, and don’t forget to mix in a statement ring or two…or three. Whether you’re hosting or going as a guest, all eyes will be on you because you’ll outshine pretty much everyone and everything.
4. Check off your wish lists.
Jewelry always makes a gorgeous. It’s so personal, really thoughtful and something the recipient can hold onto forever. Some of our favorites are statement pendants or a personalized nameplate necklace to tell it like it is. Amulets are really meaningful and unexpected—always an instant conversation starter. Another idea is to give something classic, like the signature Blake necklace. Or, you could go the other direction with something the recipient would never choose for themselves, like a layered anklet, but you know they would totally love. A wild card gift is always fun.
